Roommates, we are sending our prayers to Sri Lanka after many people were killed and injured at several churches and hotels.
According to ABC News, at least 207 people have been confirmed deceased and hundreds more were injured. There were reportedly about eight explosions that took place, including in three Christian churches and three hotels. St. Anthony’s Shrine, a Catholic church in Colombo, and Zion Church, in Batticaloa, were also attacked.
According to officials, there were reportedly at least nine foreigners that were confirmed deceased in Colombo. Two were dual citizens of the U.S. and U.K., one Portuguese citizen and two U.K. citizens.
At the moment, no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, however, Shri Lankan authorities announced during a press conference that three people had been arrested.
