It looks like we’ll be getting another season of Joe Goldberg and his crazy shenanigans as it was just announced that Netflix has renewed its hit series “You,” for a third season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the third season will feature 10 additional episodes and will premiere some time in 2021. Penn Badgley, who portrays Joe, and Victoria Pedretti, who portrays Love, will reprise their roles for the upcoming season, with additional cast members to be announced at a later date.
The shows second season reached instant success following its December 26th release date as it remained one of the top trends on social media. According to Deadline, the series landed at #5 on Netflix’s top ten list of its most popular series in 2019.
The show, which was developed by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti, is based on the books “You” and “Hidden Bodies,” written by Caroline Kepnes.
The series first premiered on Lifetime back in September 2018 in the U.S. and then premiered internationally on Netflix in December 2018, then followed up with its second season a year later.
After the second season premiered, Sera Gamble talked to THR about the show and said, “We have a lot of stories still to tell. am not scared at all of saying that we definitely could follow Joe for several more seasons. Because we believe in the world that Caroline (the author of the books) gave us and we believe in these characters, we just know they’ll keep finding really f*cked-up sh*t to get into.”
Roommates, are you looking forward to the 3rd season?
