It’s been a few months since the passing of iconic musician Prince. As we all continue to mourn his death, we also continue celebrate with all of the classic material he has left behind. With one of those classics being his 1984 film Purple Rain.
According to Vibe, anonymous buyers are now the owners of two pieces from the singer’s wardrobe from the film.
One of the pieces purchased through Profiles in History was the new-romantic style ivory shirt, with the asking price landing between $3,000-$5,000. The other piece that was purchased was Prince’s black and white motorcycle jacket. Both items were sold for $96,000 each.
Other pieces that have been sold and are up for auction include his diamond and pearl necklace with paisley clasp from the “Diamonds & Pearls” music video and his over-the-knee black suede boots from his “LoveSexy” Tour.
