Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are ready to exchange wedding vows. And while that’ll be happening at some point, the couple’s pit stop at a Las Vegas chapel was not thee moment. Instead, the late night outing was a mixture of good ole romance and practice for their big day.
Kourtney took to Instagram on Wednesday to clarify recent reports on their Vegas movements. Like other entertainers, the couple spent time in Sin City over the weekend for the Grammy Awards. TMZ broke the story that Kourt and Travis visited a wedding chapel following his performance at the annual show. At the time, it was unclear whether the couple officially got hitched.
Now, Kourtney has left nothing to the public’s imagination. The couple did not get legally married. Along with ten images inside of the chapel, Kourtney explained their outing in her caption.
“Found these in my camera roll,” Kourtney wrote about the images. “Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect.”
The photos show Kourtney and Travis dressed in casual outfits with black, leather jackets and dark sunglasses. Photos capture them smiling, holding hands, embracing and sharing a PG-13 smooch– a slight contrast to their usual public, tongue-packed exchanges.
Travis also shared two images to his Instagram feed that Kourtney didn’t include in her post. The POOSH founder is seen laying on the floor with a wide grin. Meanwhile, Travis is doubled over and holding on to his fianceé’s knees. His second image is a blurry rendition of an embrace between them. Travis wrote “what happens in Vegas” as his caption.
As previously reported, Travis asked Kourtney the lifelong union question at a beachside hotel in October 2021. The special moment featured an extravagant arrangement of roses and candles in the sand. This will be Kourtney’s first marriage and Travis’ third.
So, Kardashian-Barker fans will have to wait a little longer to see the couple’s love story reach the marriage milestone! One thing they can expect leading up to the moment is a whole lot of love. The owner of the chapel the couple visited told PEOPLE Kourtney and Travis’ love was front and center early Monday.
“There was a lot of kissing and hugging. They barely came up for air! They just seemed totally in love,” Marty Frierson said.
