Whew! Roommates, the housewives are throwing tree-sized shade at each other! Earlier this week, Phaedra Parks threw some spicy words at Chanel Ayan after the ‘Real Housewives of Dubai’ star seemingly shaded her first.
On Feb. 22, Chanel shared an X (formerly Twitter) post featuring a video of her and a photo of Phaedra. In the footage, both women were wearing the same pink-and-red Geyanna Youness dress. The stunning gown features a large flower in the bust area, followed by a mermaid fit that trails off into large ruffles.
Ayan wore a middle part, loose curls hairstyle while Phaedra rocked an up-do. Despite both women eating up the look, Chanel seemed to suggest her look was the one that left no crumbs!
“Wow! Looks very ‘quinceñera’ I love that [you] were inspired. They say, [imitation] is the highest form of flattery…You look fabulous,” Chanel wrote in her x post caption.
After The Shade Room reposted Ayan’s post on Instagram, Phaedra slid into the comment section. And from her response, Phaedra definitely didn’t see any compliments in Chanel’s words.
“Thanks @theshaderoom. @chanelayan please have several seats and make sure one is in the front row of an English 101 class,” she wrote adding a peace sign.
Meanwhile, the exchange between the ‘Real Housewives’ alums caused a separate debate in the comment section. Some seemed to criticize Phaedra’s read as discriminatory, while others pointed out that Chanel’s X post had more than one grammatical error.
@jamericanbarbie wrote, “Why do people think discrimination is a read?? Making fun of people’s English meanwhile, they speak 2 different languages is crazy.”
@madamejudge added, “Everyone overlooking the fact that not only did she spell imitation wrong … she had me lost at ‘I love that YOUR were inspired.’ Speaking many languages means nothing if the one you’re trying to read someone isn’t correct.”
@j_flame251 said, “SHE SPELLED IMITATION WRONG..that’s why Phaedra said that…she may speak multiple languages but she hasn’t quite mastered the one she tryna be messy in.”
@thereallisalee_ wrote, “So y’all never had English 101 in college as a student regardless of nationality? Many colleges require new students to take an introductory English 101 course. English 101 classes help develop students’ communication and academic writing skills. Passing English 101 means knowing how to write concisely and with correct grammar. Y’all can’t be this slow. Phaedra read was well executed per usual.”
Meanwhile, others referenced the viral moment of Phaedra Parks dragged another ‘Real Housewives’ cast member, Kenya Moore. The read, which ended with “Now check that” has influenced tons of memes and is one of the more iconic moments in ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ history!
@__robbsss wrote, “Phaedra’s reads will clear EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.”
@vincebaries said, “SHADERA PARKS ain’t the one to be played with.”
@cheeseface30 added, “Baby Phaedra will read you your first and last rights. Don’t ever get it twisted.”
