Personal Shopper Allegedly Defrauds Kevin Hart Out Of $1 Million

It looks like a personal shopper out in New York City found himself in some legal trouble after he allegedly scammed Kevin Hart out of a large amount of money.

According to ABC 7 News, on Wednesday, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced that Dylan Jason Syer, a 29-year-old Long Island resident has been indicted and arraigned on grand larceny and other charges.

Katz says that between October 2017 and February 2019 Dylan allegedly made more than a million dollars in unauthorized purchases using Kevin Hart’s credit cards.

“The defendant thought he was beyond reach and was living out his uber-rich lifestyle fantasies, but my team uncovered the bogus purchases – from the credit card charges being processed by the bank, down to tracking FedEx packages delivered to Syer’s home and business,” said Katz.

Katz says that Dylan and Kevin met back in 2015 through his personal shopping business Sire Consulting. He had access to Kevin’s credit cards and purchased several items for Kevin.

Dylan was arraigned on Wednesday afternoon on a 10-count indictment. He was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, identity theft, and scheme to defraud

He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
