TSR Reactionz: If you don’t recognize the name “Magoo,” then exit stage left, chile. You’re already too young for this conversation.
For the rest of us, I need to know how y’all feel about Magoo being called “the worst rapper to exist,” a claim that had Black Twitter up in arms today.
Magoo, who rolled in Timbaland and Missy Elliott’s crew in the 90s/2000s, contributed bars for classic songs including “Luv 2 Luv” and the Aaliyah-sung “Up Jumps Da Boogie” among other hits. You can basically consider what Magoo is to Tim as what Memphis Bleek was to Jay-Z.
While Twitter agreed he wasn’t up to par with the rappers of his time, people felt Magoo does not deserve the title of the “the worst rapper,” while people threw out a few other names for that race. SWIPE and let us know what your thoughts are on this debate.
