People Attempt To Sell Their Choco Taco Ice Cream Bars For Hundreds Of Dollars Amid Discontinuance

Klondike shocked everybody on social media when the brand announced it would discontinue its famous Choco Taco ice cream last week. People are selling their last few bars for hundreds of dollars.

According to FOX 11 LA, online users have posted their Choco Taco ice cream bars online in hopes of selling them for upwards of $500 each.

The prices listed in Facebook’s Market Place of the Los Angeles area show the ice cream for sale ranging from $25 to $500.

The site also reports that some bars are selling online for $1,000.

Whether or not this is a joke is unclear, but users appear to be marking up the price tag for this rare treat.

Klondike Announces Discontinuance of Choco Taco

In an online post, Klondike wrote on Twitter and announced the ice cream would no longer be available in stores.

Β

Over the past two years, we have experienced an unprecedented spike in demand across our portfolio and have had to make very tough decisions to ensure availability of our full portfolio nationwide,” a Klondike representative said in an email. β€œA necessary but unfortunate part of this process is that we sometimes must discontinue products, even a beloved item like Choco Taco.

Roomies, are the bars worth the price tag?
