#Roommates, despite their ability to successfully stop the spread of the coronavirus, some Americans still don’t want to wear a mask when out in public. In a shocking new report, a Pennsylvania man is currently in police custody after firing an AK-47 at police officers because he refused to wear a mask.
@WashingtonPost reports, 35-year-old Adam Zaborowski went into a rage when he was informed by an employee at a local Pennsylvania cigar shop that he would have to wear a mask in order to enter. He then stole a handful of cigars, went outside to grab his gun and shot at the clerk, according to Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania police. However, things got even more disturbing after that.
The next day when police showed up to his home to arrest him for the incident, Zaborowski reportedly fired an AK-47 at police—which resulted in a shootout with at least seven officers. Zaborowski suffered multiple gunshot wounds before he was finally arrested and taken into custody. Meanwhile, his attorney is claiming that Zaborowski’s reaction to being required to wear a mask was driven by personal issues he’s dealing with.
Attorney John Waldon said, “He just wasn’t dealing well with the loss of his job, the loss of his child, just not handling the pandemic well. I think he was getting stretched too tight.” Zaborowski was shot in the buttocks and leg, and is expected to recover.
He is charged with 22 counts including attempted homicide, aggravated assault and robbery—and is being held on $1 million bail.
