Oprah Winfrey Weighs In On Michael Strahan’s Departure
In the world of entertainment, you’re here today and gone tomorrow, unless, of course, you’re Michael Strahan! As we’ve reported to you, he’s going to be joining the cast of Good Morning America and this past Tuesday, everyone found out at the same time including co-host, Kelly Rippa.
Kelly reportedly took the following day off after reports that she felt “blindsided” by Strahan’s unexpected decision and Oprah Winfrey definitely empathizes with the seasoned talkshow host. “Nobody should ever be blindsided,” Winfrey explained to Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t know who’s in charge, but somebody should’ve said, ‘This is gonna happen.’ You shouldn’t have to read it in the paper. Ever.”
Nevertheless, she believes that Michael will experience noting but success as he moves on to pursue bigger things! “He’s going to be great on Good Morning America. I think Michael’s so great. He’s like a natural talent,” Winfrey said. “He won’t get any sleep, but he will be great.”
Although the way that Strahan made his announcement does appear to be a bit messy, you can’t blame someone for wanting to pursue their dreams without anyone getting in their ear about it. On the flip side, there is a level of respect that must be upheld which is what Oprah Winfrey was more than likely alluding to.
