Another one for Hillary Clinton! She has just been endorsed by billionaire media mogul Oprah Winfrey. I mean, it really doesn’t get any bigger than this with one of her major decisions for the endorsement centering around girl power.
At the premiere of her show Greenleaf, Winfrey spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how present the opportunity is for Clinton to be elected as our first female president.
She began, “I really believe that is going to happen. It’s about time that we make that decision.” Winfrey continued to say that, “Regardless of your politics, it’s a seminal moment for women. What this says is, there is no ceiling, that ceiling just went boom! It says anything is possible when you can be leader of the free world.” Right on!
Winfrey wasn’t alone in her public display of support for the presidential candidate either. She was joined by The Late Late Show‘s James Corden. Many of us are fans of his Carpool Karaoke segment which has featured Adele, Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Lopez just to name a few. You can however forget about seeing Oprah on there. While she loves Corden’s show, Oprah insists that she’s a terrible singer and said, “You will not see me do it.”
How many of you are “with her” Roommates? It would be dope for this country’s first elected female president to happen this year. Just 96 years ago, women couldn’t even vote!
