Protesters headed to Cape Town, South Africa yesterday to boycott!
Pharrell’s affiliation with Southern African retailer Woolworths had
Cape Town residents outraged.
Residents stood firm behind the belief that Pharrell “Supports Israel, a country that supports the oppression of Palestine, a country that is the new apartheid state.”
The crowd gathered prior to the concert protesting while waving signs and boldly shouting words that ranged from forgiveness to harsh ultimatums.
“Pharrell is welcome if Gaza is free”
“Pharrell and Woolworths have blood on their hands.”
Geeze! However, Pharrell has been working on several eco-friendly products for Africa, a scholarship program for kids, and other endeavors they claim have not sourced from Israeli occupied Palestinian territories, which clearly is tagged on their products.
Well Israeli citizens weren’t having it !!
