Oop! Lil Uzi Vert Hit With $600K Lawsuit Over Cancelled Concert

Roommates, Lil Uzi has been trying to get into his ‘rap retirement’ for a minute now, but the industry just won’t let this man live! As of Tuesday, Uzi is now facing a $600,000 lawsuit after he cancelled a concert in Arizona.
According to Complex, a complaint was filed on behalf of concert promoters who claimed that #Uzi did not hold up his side of the deal to appear at the show scheduled for Oct. 2018.
Per the document filed with the Fulton County Superior Court, the company representing the promoters has chosen to remain unnamed. Uzi is being held accountable for not showing up for the gig, and failing to book another date. Ticket holders were refunded their money.
The lawsuit has come at a very rocky time in Uzi’s life, as he previously announced his retirement from music because of other legal woe’s with his record label. In a social media post, Uzi talks about his record label not allowing him to release his latest album.
“You think I don’t wanna drop music? You just gotta understand when people don’t love you, they’ll hold your life if you sign a m*****n… Hold that s**t against you,” Uzi said. “And that go for the streets too. You ain’t supposed to sign no paper in the streets because that’s ration’. So why the f**k I even sign this as a deal.”
Neither Uzi nor his place of business, Means Street Studios, have responded to the case.
