We all know that these COVID guidelines have definitely made it hard for people to turn up. However, there are some venues that have incorporated new rules to follow those guidelines. However, it looks like one nightclub in Ohio had a really large turnout this past weekend, and that resulted in them being cited for the event.
According to NBC News, Aftermath Nightclub in Columbus, OH received a citation for improper conduct and disorderly activities after approximately 500 people were seen at the venue, while they enjoyed a performance from Trey Songz.
The Ohio Investigative Unit noted that they spotted people sharing alcoholic beverages and made no attempts to socially distance, and it looked like those inside of the club were not wearing any face masks.
Eric Wolf, the Ohio Investigative Unit enforcement commander, said, “Basically, it was just a concert environment. If you had taken that event and put it in 2019, it would have been pretty much the same concert, same event that was taking place last night.”
The Ohio Investigative Unit also mentioned that they referred the case to the Ohio Liquor Control Commission, who is responsible for distributing any potential penalties, including fines and/or the suspension or revocation of the venue’s liquor permits.
