This is terrible because his album “Dreams Worth More Than Money” is set to release on September 2nd. This means he will be behind bars and won’t be able to do shows and promote his album, the timing couldn’t be worse!

Details on the developing story were scarce, but in a short phone conversation with their news team, we’ve learned that they are in the court room right now, and the jail sentence is due to Meek violating his probation. Earlier this year, Meek visited an inmate in prison, which was a violation of the probation handed down to him following a 2009 drug and gun case, and his Grammy Awards weekend party was so wild it had to be shut down by police, also something frowned upon by the judge.
