Offset took to social media to deliver J. Prince a message after the warning J. Prince left on Million Dollaz Worth of Game‘s recent episode. In a seemingly emotional tone, Offset challenged J. Prince to call him to have a man-to-man conversation.
He said, in part:
“First off, y’all n****s speaking on my real brother,” Offset said. “How dare one of y’all n****s speak on me and Take relationship n***a. I don’t know you n****s from a can of paint n***a. Y’all don’t know how me and my brother rock.”
He continued critiquing J. Prince’s method of reaching him through social media rather than a phone call. The artist also questioned whether J. Prince is considering Takeoff’s mother and family during this time.
Takeoff passed away on November 1 after multiple bullets struck him in the head and torso following a dispute at a Houston bowling alley. According to police officials, the 28-year-old was nothing “involved in anything criminal,” and viral footage of the incident seemingly shows he was an innocent bystander.
Rather than discuss he-say-she -say, as Offset labeled J. Prince’s commentary, Offset encouraged the Houston music mogul to call him.
“And if you heard something from me, imma tell you. It’s gon come from me, call my phone. Y’all n****s going off of he-say-she-say, then y’all ‘ppose to be who y’all ‘ppose to be and y’all n****s on interviews, airing it out on interviews, talking ’bout I said this. N***a call my phone homie,” Offset said. “You call my phone, we’ll have a conversation.”
Offset’s message comes after J. Prince and J. Prince Jr. spoke extensively on Million Dollaz Worth of Game about Takeoff’s passing and his family’s presence and reaction in its aftermath.
In his concluding commentary, J. Prince seemingly threw shade on Offset’s relationship with Takeoff at the time of his passing. He started by saying “nothing changed” with his “love for Quavo” and led with “but that Offset dude.”
J. Prince added:
“N****s be throwing rocks and hiding they hand, and I don’t like them kind of individuals. And the truth of the matter is, one can dance and diffrent things in front of these different cameras and all that kind of sh*t. When in reality, the truth of the matter is
you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. So, for you to be taking these positions you taking. And I got people everywhere so I hear all kinds of things.”
But J. Prince didn’t elaborate on the “things” he’s heard. Instead, he ended with what seemed like a warning, per Monday’s trending Twitter conversation about the Prince Family’s comments and Offset’s response.
“Don’t never put me in no position where I have to defend myself. That wouldn’t bea healthy for you, I have to say that,” J. Prince added.
Since Takeoff’s passing, Offset has primarily kept his grief private. But about two weeks after Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston, the rapper shared a lengthy letter dedicated to his friend and former MIGOS member.
Amid Offset’s response to J. Prince is the viral conversation of Quavo’s emotional tribute to Takeoff at the Grammys 2023. Quavo performed his track Without You, dedicated to his deceased nephew, with the musical assistance of the Maverick City Music choir. In addition, Quavo showcased one of Takeoff’s diamond chains during the tribute as a presentation of images featuring him, Takeoff, and Offset.
