Well, Roomies, it looks like Odell Beckham Jr could be off the hook for this one! While no concrete decision has been made, the officer involved in the butt-slapping incident has decided against pressing charges, CBS Sports reports.
As we previously reported, a warrant was issued for Odell’s arrest after he was seen on camera slapping a security officer’s butt after LSU’s championship game. As of now, the warrant remains outstanding, but there is a good chance that it could be recalled.
Apparently, the security officer involved has signed an affidavit stating that he does not plan to press charges against Odell for the incident, which is obviously a great thing for Odell Beckham Jr.
As we previously reported, the New Orleans Police Department obtained a warrant for Odell’s arrest after he was seen on video slapping the security officer’s butt. Even though it looked as though things were all fun and games, the authorities did not think so!
Authorities were reportedly granted the warrant on the basis of simple battery against Odell. A police spokesperson said the police sought charges after the video went viral.
