A young woman used food delivery technology to deliver herself from imprisonment by a man who was sexually assaulting her. The story first came to light after The Chipper Truck Cafe posted the chilling request they received at about 5 a.m. on Sunday. A 24-year-old woman ordered a breakfast sandwich and burger, but the additional notes section requested something entirely different. She begged the restaurant to send police to her address discreetly.
“Please call the police his going to call me when u delivered come with the cones please don’t make it obvious,” the additional notes section said.
Restaurant Calls Police After Receiving Help Request In Food Order
An employee at the 24-hour restaurant received the note through the app and called Valentino Bermejo, who owns the restaurant, with his wife, Alice Bermejo. According to ABC7 NY, Alice said her husband instructed the employee to call the police and cancel the order. The employee’s compliance aided in rescuing the woman from the hostage situation.
“I’ve often heard of this happening but never thought it would happen to us,” The Chipper Truck Cafe wrote on Facebook. “Thankfully, we were open and able to help her. A big thank you to the police for their fast response.”
The delivery address was in the Bronx. New York Police Department officers arrived on the scene at about 6:20 a.m. There are few details on how the police response played out at the location. But, court documents reportedly say Kemoy opened the door looking for the food order.

ABC7 NY said Kemoy and the woman first met online and spent months getting to know each other before meeting in person. However, the meeting quickly turned violent. Kemoy reportedly refused to let the woman use her phone unless she was ordering food.
The 32-year-old has similar charges for a June 14 incident involving a 26-year-old. Kemoy faces charges of attempted rape, sexual abuse, and assault.
