Roommates, there’s not a day that goes by that social media isn’t in the middle of some type of debate, particularly involving celebrities—and NLE Choppa’s recent interview is the latest topic that’s gone viral. Speaking about his career, NLE Choppa stated that people often compare him to iconic superstars Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur…and as expected, social media definitely had thoughts.
During a recent interview with popular radio station Power 106, NLE Choppa spoke about the release of his upcoming album ‘Me vs. Me,’ and was asked if he has ever been compared to any other artist in the music industry—and his response involving Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur immediately became a trending topic.
NLE Choppa stated:
“Uh, I don’t know, I feel like I get a lotta Michael Jackson ’cause the type of energy I bring. Somebody said I look like him, I don’t know. And I get Tupac too, ’cause what I stand for, what type of principles I stand for outside of music. With me, it’s not about the music all the time, it’s about who I can impact. Who life I can [change].”
He has previously stated that 2022 is going to be the year that he dominates the hip hop game and he is counting on ‘Me vs. Me’ to achieve his goal and show his fans how much he has grown as an artist.
