Rapper NLE Choppa recently recreated Tupac’s classic bathtub photo seemingly to promote his new single and Duck Boot shoes.
According to HotNewHipHop, the 21-year-old released the duck-filled photos on Tuesday (April 17).
The Memphis native posted the pictures on Instagram with the caption, “If I Was A Duck Boot I’d Wanna Wear Me Too,” with a duck and several tongue emojis. Additionally, he included the hashtags “#2Sexy” and “#SLUTSZN.” NLE concluded the text with ‘-SIR F*CKALOT’ and tagged the company @fctrylab.
Furthermore, the rapper’s caption is a play on words from a line in his new single, ‘SLUT ME OUT 2.’ It follows NLE’s most successful track, ‘SLUT ME OUT,’ which was released last year.
Moreover, in the photo, he appears to be naked with only jewelry covering his lower area. Additionally, the bathtub is littered with yellow rubber duckies. He is also adorning his new Duck Boot shoes.
Under his post, many commenters weren’t feeling the photography.
@yo_.antho quipped, “Man get yo freaky ahh.”
@von_hashira co-signed his sentiment, “Buddy been on freakish timing for a while now.”
“This n**** has officially lost it,” @414_ts added.
@stacksll wrote, “Cuh I can NOT keep defending you.”
“It’s funny seeing the insecure men fight for their life in these comments,” @the_mightystorm said.
Others seemed to pick up what NLE was putting down.
@doriielise stated, “He’s literally recreating 2pacs picture what’s the problem.”
On The Shaderoom’s Instagram report, Rommies made jokes about how Tupac would feel about NLE’s recreation.
“I know Tupac irritated as hell in Cuba I know Tupac,” @kashstyling stated.
Tupac rolling over in his condo in New Mexico,” @indeskribeabull added.
@spoilednspicy’s comment garnered over 45,000 likes criticizing Tupac’s choice to make the original image.
“Unpopular opinion: PAC shouldn’t have done that s*** either!” she wrote with a laughing emoji.
NLE’s marketing team seems to know what they’re doing because the photo definitely got the people talking.
According to the Duck Boot’s Instagram profile, the designer and co-founder of the brand is Omar Bailey. He is the former head of the Yeezy Innovation Lab at Adidas.
A release date has not been announced for the Duck Boot but shoppers can sign up to be notified of the drop.
