Nipsey Hussle’s Family Reportedly Continuing His Plans For A Community Foundation

The legacy that Nipsey Hussle has left behind has not gone unnoticed by the masses. Most notably, fans, friends and family alike have been commending Nipsey for his efforts to give back to his community and uplift the youth. Although his passing came before he could reach every goal, his family is reportedly stepping in to continue the marathon.

Sources close to Nipsey’s family reportedly tell TMZ that he was in the process of creating a foundation geared to improve the quality of life of youth in his community.

According to TMZ, Nipsey had a very clear vision for his foundation. He hoped the foundation would work with schools to rebuild playgrounds, help improve pubic parks in the neighborhood, and move forward with implementing STEM programs for students.

Nipsey started laying the groundwork for his vision long before his untimely passing, and it began with elementary school students. Los Angeles City Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson tells TMZ, Nipsey donated shoes to kids at 59th Street Elementary School and helped repave their basketball courts.

The foundation has now reportedly become the top priority for Nipsey’s family, along with his other 14 businesses.

Nipsey was not new to community work, as his business endeavors all had one common goal–giving back. He opened his Marathon Clothing Store on Slauson and Crenshaw to fill the void of unemployment and poverty.

He was also heavily involved in Destination Crenshaw, which is a beautification project turning 1 mile of Crenshaw Blvd. into an open air art museum.

Nipsey’s message of uplifting the black community through love, empowerment and representation has touched so many people since his passing. His legacy has inspired gangs to come together, communities to support one another, and people across the globe to impart knowledge wherever they see fit.

His family does not plan on letting that message die, and in Nipsey’s honor, the marathon will continue!
