Roommates, it’s almost summer time and you know what that means! It’s time to show up and SHOW OUT, and that’s exactly what Nicki Minaj did with her Trinidad carnival outfit! Every year, Trinidad celebrates carnival that Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. This year Nicki Minaj showed up looking SNATCHED y’all! She hopped on the ‘gram to show off her outfit for the Barbs to take in, and needless to say, they loved it! See it below:
For those who don’t know, Nicki is of Trinidadian descent, she even posted another flick of her outfit, simply captioning it “Trini to the bone.” See her photo below:
She also shared some photos from the event where you can clearly see how happy fans were to see her! She rode a float along side her mansss Kenneth Petty, who didn’t dress up, BUT was there to support Nicki! See those photos below:
Now, we know how beautiful Nicki looked but you ALSO know, we have to deliver some tea. SO, it seems there were a few people who felt a way about Kenny brushing his arm up against a Trinidadian artist’s hype man. In the video you can see the man gets a little close to Nicki and Kenneth visibly looks a little irritated. SO, he extends his arm and gives the man A LOOK, see the video here.
Nicki Minaj didn’t address the situation directly, but she did make sure to upload this video a few hours after people started talking about it on Twitter. Her caption used an interesting choice of words…
It’s a possibility she caught wind of the backlash online and gave a cheeky response. Kenny on the other hand didn’t say much about what went down. It was a minor situation of what looked to be a beautiful celebration. The couple looked happy and Nicki looked AMAZING!
