Nicki Minaj updated fans after canceling her New Orleans show on her ‘Pink Friday 2’ World Tour earlier in the week.
According to Hip Hop DX, the rapper issued a heartfelt apology to her supporters.
As previously reported, the ‘Super Freaky Girl’ rapper “abruptly canceled” her NOLA tour stop on Monday (March 18). Nicki was reportedly sick during her Rolling Loud Cali performance on Friday and her symptoms only worsened afterwards.
The announcement was made just hours before the NOLA concert was slated to begin.
The ‘Barbie World’ singer offered her “sincerest apologies” on Tuesday (March 19) for missing her show, which was scheduled to take place at the Smoothie King Center. The performer stated she wouldn’t be able to give her all and her fans deserved the best from her. Minaj took to X to apologize for her absence.
“New Orleans, please accept my sincerest apologies for having to reschedule our date together,” she typed. “You mean so much to me & I hate that things didn’t go as planned. Within the next few days, I hope to update our schedule with a new date that I can give you 100% of myself & nothing less. You don’t deserve to pay for a tkt to see me up there rapping with the flu. Absolutely NOT.”
In addition, Chun-Li shared her gratitude and love for her fans. She also gave a potential timeline for a performance reschedule.
“Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your well wishes,” she said. The mom of one continued, “I look forward to seeing you very soon. It may have to be in MAY due to the NBA finals, but we won’t complete this tour w/o you.”
Nicki stated, “As long as you’ll have me, my team & I will be there. Wishing you guys blessings on blessings on blessings. Love always.”
