The Barbz are standing ten toes down for Nicki Minaj following her release from police custody in Amsterdam.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Nicki Minaj was arrested on Saturday (May 25).
The ‘FTCU’ rapper hopped on Instagram Live after arriving for a flight at the airport in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In a short clip from the livestream, an officer can be heard accusing her of “carrying drugs.” Nicki denied the accusations, but the officer still told her to enter a police van.
Just a few hours after Nicki was released, her fans stood outside her hotel in Manchester, England to celebrate. The Queen returned to Instagram Live again to share the sweet moment. Nicki does not make an appearance in the video, however she does show her fans standing in the street with lights and signs.
Nicki then says in the live, “I wanna know where they were going. Where’s the party? DJ Booth, where’s the party?”
The Barbz eventually respond by screaming “I love you” and later chanting, “Nicki’s Free.”
Nicki responds back to them in a British accent saying, “I love you too, I love you, I really do,”
“Let me tell you, this is just for the Barbz. If y’all could see how ugly I look right now, y’all. I’m so serious and I swear I didn’t care. And I love you, I love you so much,” she continued.
The Roomies made sure to hop in The Shade Room comment section to share their thoughts on Nicki’s fans. Several social media users gave her credit for having one of the most solid fanbases.
Instagram user @sugliteworld wrote, “The barbz are literally one of the most iconic fanbases ever.”

Per The Shade Room, Nicki Minaj has kicked off the European leg of her ‘Pink Friday 2’ Tour. The Harajuku Barbie was reportedly set to open the gates of ‘Gag City’ on May 23.
However, when Nicki arrived early on Saturday morning, authorities attempted to take her into custody for drug possession. She documented the entire encounter on Instagram Live. Police eventually instructed her to leave with them, but Nicki demanded a lawyer before abiding to their request.
As the video continued, the authorities apparently explain that would help escort her to show. But before doing so, they need her to comply to their demands.
Nicki continued to talk about the international encounter on X, formerly known as Twitter. The ‘Moment 4 Life’ musician explained that a man told her that her luggage needed to be searched. She then accused people of being paid “big money” to continuously try to sabotage her try.
“They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me. They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc,” she wrote on X.
Furthermore, amid her on X. Minaj said that authorities allegedly found weed in her luggage. However, she explained that the pre-rolls belonged to her security. The ‘Big Difference’ artist explained that the incident was only delaying her schedule in flying to Manchester, England.
Amsterdam authorities also recapped the incident on X, stating that Nicki was detained on “suspicion of extorting soft drugs.”
Now that everything has been resolved, the Barbz are happy to know that Nicki Minaj is safe and sound. They have flooded social media stating that they are more than ready for the ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour to continue.
