It’s about time! Earlier today, Coi Leray revealed to her fans the Trendsetters, and Nicki Minaj’s Barbz, that after recent drama, they are officially collaborating on the song ‘Blick Blick.’ In true Nicki fashion following the announcement, she told the Barbz what they could expect from the single this Friday. The “Queen” also took time to chat and answered a few questions.
“Verse of the year is LOADING. Lemme show you some rq,” Nicki declared. The Queens native was very excited about the record, and fans could tell. One tweeted, “This is the first time in a while I saw Nicki hype up her own verse. Omg, I’m excited.” Nicki responded, “Right. I said the same thing to Republic. I normally don’t love my verse on anything. I’m always still making changes in my head.” While engaging on Twitter, she spoke about receiving multiple requests for features. “Yes. I had gotten six different feature requests & it was really just the song itself that made me choose. I couldn’t get Coi verse out of my head. I just loved all her choices. And someone I know well confirmed she really writes her stuff, so I respected her more.”
When it comes to being forgiving, Nicki has been in her bag. She briefly spoke on pulling her verse from the song after Coi’s father Benzino spilled the tea last month about the feature. However, the GRAMMY-nominated rapper said the issue was water under the bridge. Coi got wind of Nicki’s tweets and shared a few tweets regarding her relationship with her dad and more. The ‘No More Parties’ also said she couldn’t wait to tell her story.
