On a recent episode of ‘The Nick Cannon Show,’ Nick opened up about his celibacy journey after announcing that he’s expecting his eighth child with model Bre Tiesi. While sitting next to Angela Yee, who is 1/3rd host of ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Nick referred to comments he made in October claiming he would “chill out” and stick to celibacy while vowing to try to be the best father he can.
Nick said, “My therapist was one of the [people] who said I should probably be celibate, and the reason why is because I had shared that news about Bre being pregnant,” he explained to Angela. “That was the reason why I started my celibacy journey back then. So for anyone who’s thinking, ‘Oh, he wasn’t celibate,’ I was!”
Nick continued explaining, “I felt like I was out of control, and honestly, celibacy did help me through the journey of getting one with myself and being able to deal with this.” The Roommates had a mixed reaction to Nick’s comments about celibacy. One commented, “I…You know what… It’s whatever you say, Nick, at this point.” Another commented, “I just wanna know how the hell he balances all these kids in different homes/states and doing all that he does cause just money ain’t enough.”
The television host is very busy and has his hands full with work and children—10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Brittany Bell is the mother of his daughters, 4-year-old Golden Sagon and 1-year-old Powerful Queen. His youngest children are 7-month-old twin boys, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, whom he shares with Abby De La Rosa. As we previously reported, the entertainer and Alyssa Scott lost their son Zen, who passed away on December 5th after losing his battle with brain cancer.
Roommates, what do you think about his comments about celibacy?
