Nia Long has reportedly filed for full custody of her 11-year-old son, whom she shares with her ex Ime Udoka. As The Shade Room previously reported, a source confirmed the pair’s split in December following allegations of Udoka’s infidelity earlier last year.
Additionally, the pair had reportedly been dating for about 13 years.

More Details Regarding Nia Long’s Reported Custody Filing
According to The Blast, legal documents obtained by the outlet show that Long has requested “sole physical and legal custody” of her son with Ime Udoka, Kez Udoka.
Additionally, the address is reportedly asking for a Los Angeles County court to give Udoka visitation with the 11-year-old.
The case will reportedly also establish “a parental relationship” since the pair never married.
Furthermore, the 52-year-old actress is reportedly asking for Udoka to cover her attorney fees for the case. The outlet adds that the case will likely also include decisions regarding child support.
According to the outlet, Ime Udoka has yet to respond to Nia Long’s custody filing.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Long and Udoka split last year after a 13-year relationship. According to Radar Online, the pair initially met in 2010 and became engaged in 2015.
However, it was reported last September that Udoka stepped out on the actress and engaged “in an intimate relationship with a female member” of the Boston Celtics’ staff.

Amid the scandal, Long explained that the news was “devastating” for their son Kez during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“He still has moments where it’s not easy for him… I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public,” she explained at the time. ”
No one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m OK, to see if my children are OK, It’s very disappointing.”
Since the scandal, Long has remained vocal about her commitment to her role as a mother, even sharing an exclusive statement with PEOPLE.
“I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.”
According to Radar Online, the actor is also a mother to actor Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, a son from a previous relationship.
