There have been many rumors, suggestions, and questions about who may be performing at this years Super Bowl halftime show.
Both Kanye West, and Chris Brown fans even started petitions for the artists, in order to get their favs to be considered to perform.
Lady Gaga is the most recent name that was dropped among potential Super Bowl 51 performers.
US Weekly reported that Lady Gaga will be headlining the show, however, an NFL representative says those reports are not true.
“Us Weekly ignored my on record response: we’ve had conversations w several fantastic artists about SB Halftime Show but no final decision.” Natalie Ravitz, senior Vice President of communications for the NFL said in a tweet regarding the publications report.
If you remember, Lady Gaga did sing the national anthem at last years Super Bowl, and wowed the crowd!
“This is one of the highest honors of my career,” She said at the time. “I get a chance to sing for all the athletes — who have been working so hard their whole lives for this moment — the coaches, as well as the fans in the stands who are waiting for this moment. I think it marks what being an American is all about.”
So all this isn’t to say that Lady Gaga definitely won’t be performing, but it doesn’t say that she will be either as the NFL is clearly still in talks.
Welp, we definitely can’t wait to see who they choose, and if all else fails–they can always bring back Beyonce!
