New York Post Reporter Faces Backlash Following Article About DMX Losing Homes Amid His Hospitalzaton

Roommates, we are still praying for DMX and his loved ones as he is still hospitalized at this time, and folks are not pleased with a recent article published by the New York Post.

A writer at the Post, Sarah Painter, recently published a story detailing the various houses DMX lost due to debt over the course of his career. The piece was published on Tuesday–just three days after the news of his condition made headlines.

Sarah went into detail regarding the amount of debt DMX collected over the years, how much money he raked in from making music, and even mentioned some of his legal trouble as well. One part of the piece even referenced financial documents she obtained in order to write the piece.

Debts followed him as he moved all over the country, and since the ’90s, he has undergone repeated foreclosures, forced sales and investment losses in his real estate portfolio despite his lucrative, multimillion-dollar career, financial documents show,” Sarah wrote.

Twitter users had some choice words for Sarah and the Post after the article was published, calling her out for being insensitive during such a tragic time.

Radio personality Swaggy Sie commented on the situation saying, “Here goes @nypost ALWAYS trying to kick someone while they are DOWN. This is DISGUSTING, nor is it news worthy. You should be ashamed on yourself #SarahPaynter to put a story out like this while a man is FIGHTING for his life. How dare you.”

As of now, the article has not been removed from the New York Post site.

As we previously reported, DMX is still on life support after suffering a heart attack almost one week ago, and he is reportedly scheduled to be tested for brain functioning tests in the coming days. We will continue to update you as information becomes available, Roomies.
