A new video posted on social media appears to show three Minneapolis police officers kneeling on George Floyd during his arrest.
The initial viral video showed former officer Derek Chauvin, who was charged today with third-degree murder, kneeling on Floyd’s neck. The new video, which is captured from another angle, shows the other side of the Minneapolis police vehicle where Floyd’s arrest is taking place, according to CNN.
The video appears to show Chauvin, along with two other officers, kneeling on Floyd, pinning him down.
Following today’s announcement by the Hennepin County attorney regarding Chauvin’s arrest, it’s now on everyone’s mind whether the other officers will also be charged in Floyd’s death and how this new evidence will be considered.
All four officers involved in the incident have been fired from the Minneapolis Police Department, but for those demanding justice in George Floyd’s name, that is simply not enough.
We’ll keep you posted on any updates in this case.
