Here’s What The New Jersey Police Are Accusing The Woman Of
On Tuesday, August 20, the Bridgeton Police Department took to Facebook to share a post with its followers. The department explained that it is “attempt[ing] to identify” a female who recently visited the Cohanzick Zoo.
In the post, the department asserted that the woman “went over the wooden fence at the tiger enclosure and began enticing the tiger almost getting bit by putting her hand through the wire enclosure.”
According to the zoo’s official website, the location features two tigers on the property: Rishi and Mahesha. Furthermore, it’s unclear which tiger the woman encountered. However, the zoo notes that both animals are of Bengal breed and weigh “nearly 500 pounds each.”
“The Bengal is considered the second largest tiger, rivaled only by the Siberian tiger,” the zoo notes.

The San Antonio Zoo Made Headlines Earlier This Year
As The Shade Room previously reported, the San Antonio Zoo in Texas made headlines earlier this year. In February, the location went viral for showcasing its annual “Cry Me A Cockroach” event, which allows visitors to purchase a cockroach for $10, name it after their ex, and feed it to a zoo animal.
Additionally, the zoo offers rats and vegetables for purchase for the occasion.
The fundraiser’s proceeds reportedly assist the zoo in maintaining itse and in other part wildlife on-sits of the world.
