Chile, if you weren’t here for Netflix ending their 30-day free trial period then you may not be here for their price increase.
According to The Verge, Netflix just introduced price hikes for US based subscribers. While not by too much, the standard plan will increase to $14 a month and its premium tier will increase to $18 a month.
“As always we offer a range of plans so that people can pick a price that works best for their budget,” the spokesperson added.
While prices may be higher, the standard plan is only $1 more–from $13 a month– while the new premium tier cost is a $2 increase–from $16 a month.
As expected, new subscribers will have to pay the new monthly costs, and current Netflix subscribers will see new prices over the next few weeks, as the new billing cycles roll out.
The change in price comes as Netflix looks to invest more in their content and product features.
Prices are being updated “so that we can continue to offer more variety of TV shows and films,” a spokesperson told The Verge.
Y’all still paying, Roomies?
