Roommates, NeNe Leakes has a message for all those who neglect to show support for Black women—and she let her opinion about the matter be known on social media. In a very passionate series of posts, NeNe also suggested that there are people in her circle who have “gone silent” in protecting her when she needs them most.
Taking to her Twitter account, NeNe Leakes definitely did not hold back when she posted her thoughts on the lack of support that Black women tend to receive in practically all walks of life. However, it was when she began to post about her own current personal experiences, that things really took an interesting turn.
NeNe wrote the following:
“Support Black Women. I hav protected every1 for years and covered up things i shouldn’t have! I took the beating so others didn’t have too and no one has protected me or stood up for me. Y’all have gone silent and turned the other cheek. You are NOT exempted from getting this same treatment 1 day.”
However, she wasn’t done and added:
“It’s not about 1 black woman! It’s about supporting black periodt. I’m strong, I’m healthy and i will survive. Love y’all bye!”
While NeNe didn’t specifically call anyone out by name, many fans are assuming that she is referring to some of her cast mates on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” or even her Bravo boss Andy Cohen. As we previously reported, the new season of the “RHOA” has already started filming, but NeNe is still in contract negotiations.
