NeNe Leakes has had a weekend full of celebration. The 54-year-old television personality was recently spotted, looking absolutely stunning, at the wedding of Porsha Williams. And a couple of days before welcomed her son Brentt home from a two-month hospitalization.
Brentt Leakes returned home on Thanksgiving week, after rehabilitating from a stroke and heart failure. According to BET, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to Instagram Friday night to share the joyous news with her followers.
Leakes posted a clip of her and 23-year-old Brentt partying it up at her Georgia nightclub, Linnethia Lounge.
@kingbrentt unlocked the doors tonight for the first time in months @thelinnethialounge. We turning up all weekend long! Thank you all for your love and support! We still have a long road ahead ❤️🙏🏾
Brentt also took to Instagram a day later to share his own celebratory post at the lounge.
Leakes Contemplated Selling The Lounge During Her Son’s Hospitalization
Leakes searched for buyers interested in purchasing the lounge after Brentt was hospitalized. According to Black Enterprise, Leakes opened the location in 2020 with her son and late husband Gregg Leakes.
During an appearance on Larry Reid Live, she explained that her son’s hospitalization, in addition to her husband’s passing, made her contemplate giving the location up — despite Brentt wanting otherwise.
I don’t want to run the business without them. This was for us to do together.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Brentt was rushed to the hospital in early October. When Leakes later commented on Brentt’s hospitalization and the fate of the lounge, she said maintaining it by herself would be a lot on her.
We have sat and talked about selling the lounge now because it’s something that Brentt runs along with me. I got in the business with him and Gregg and some other friends to do it. And this is just a lot right now on me.
Roommates, now that Brentt is home, do you think NeNe will abandon her plans of selling the location?
