NeNe Leakes‘ son, Bryson Bryant (aka Bryce), has reportedly found himself in some drug-related legal trouble.
This isn’t the only noteworthy part of the situation, though, as Bryson is accused of telling authorities that he was his younger brother, Brentt Leakes.
According to Radar Online, court docs cite the ordeal as occurring on Jul. 3 in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Authorities reportedly found fentanyl on Bryson and accused him of “evading police and [falsely] claiming he knew the people that lived at the residence.” As a result, he was hit with possession and “loitering/prowling” charges.
While the police were questioning Bryson Bryant, he allegedly told them he was his younger brother, Brentt. He was ultimately booked under Brentt’s name and later released after posting a $5,900 bond.
Reportedly, Bryson’s ruse caught up to him, as he was charged with “giving a false name, address or birthdate to a law enforcement officer.”
Radar Online reports that, per jail records, Bryce was taken back into custody.
We also have to add that Brentt ultimately commented on the matter through his Instagram Story by humorously posting an often-memed clip of NeNe saying, “Now why am I in it? See how I get thrown in stuff? I didn’t even do anything.”
We should add that this isn’t the first time that Bryson Bryant has been afflicted by legal troubles.
Back during season 4 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe—who had just returned home from South Africa—discovered that her firstborn son was arrested and being held in the Gwinnett County Jail.
After initially refusing to bail him out, Peter Thomas—Cynthia Bailey‘s ex-husband—had to convince NeNe to step in. Later, she went IN on Bryson and aired out her issues with his lifestyle.
While NeNe eventually shared that she ultimately regretted going so hard on Bryce with cameras rolling, many longtime fans consider this scene one of Leakes’ rawest moments on RHOA.
