It looks like the future of Megyn Kelly’s show on NBC is up in the air. Earlier this week Kelly received backlash for her comments on blackface during Halloween.
According to CNN Business, sources with knowledge on the matter say her 9am show “Megyn Kelly Today,” is ending. However, at the moment it is unclear if she’ll remain at the network, but with a smaller role.
Multiple reports have been circulating that Kelly will leave the network altogether, but Kelly’s representative, Davidson Golin told CNN Business that NBC has not been in contact with Kelly or her representatives.
Kelly did not host her scheduled show on Thursday; instead, the network replaced her live telecast with a pre-taped episode. A spokeswoman for NBC said, “Given the circumstances, Megyn Kelly Today will be on tape the rest of the week.”
Another source claims that Kelly’s show will be coming to an end, but details about that are still underway. However, sources have also said that Kelly has parted way with her talent agency CAA.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Kelly has hired Bryan Freedman as her attorney, and says that he is scheduled to speak with NBC on Friday. Kelly is in the second year of her three-year contract, which is reportedly valued at $23 million a year.
