When will people learn to review content before they hit “post” on social media? What Jania, the mother to NBA YoungBoy’s son Kacey, is claiming is a mistake has set off a new beef between her and YoungBoy’s girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle.
It all started when Jania shared a viral meme that features cartoon images of a Black man and a woman. The meme has been used to describe relatable relationship and situationship issues.
The version that Jania specifically shared showed the man telling the woman “You’re just not her” when she asked “Bae what’s wrong?” When the woman asks “Who?” the man responds, “Jania.”
She shared with the caption, “Perioooddd birthday countdown.” But what had YB fans in an uproar was the small print on the meme she shared, labeling the woman “Jaz” for Jazlyn and “YB” for NBA YoungBoy.
Fans went berserk trying to make sense of the shade as Jania hasn’t been in any recent drama involving YoungBoy and this was interpreted as a direct shot at his relationship with Jazlyn.
Jania realized what people were saying and issued an apology on Twitter, saying she didn’t see the names in the meme.
But the damage was already done.
Jazlyn responded on Twitter with a mere but nevertheless shady, “Bae said she could never,” accompanied by a crying laughing emoji.
This set Jania off, prompting her to make a series of tweets (some she deleted) and to go live to address the issue.
“I don’t want him, babe. Keep him,” Jania said in the video.
Fans also went in on Jaz for her response because YoungBoy made mention of wanting Jania back in his song “Red Eye.”
But if you’re like us, then you’re also probably wondering what YoungBoy thinks about all this, especially given the fact that Yaya Mayweather has just given birth to his seventh child. Is this really even on his radar? Guess we’ll find out.
