Chile, NBA Youngboy has been in the news a lot lately, and it seems like that won’t be letting up anytime soon.
As you may know, NBA Youngboy just released a new project, “Colors,” in January. But according to the rapper, Atlantic Records removed his project from Apple Music.
He took time to post to the community page of his YouTube channel to explain exactly what was going on. The rapper accused Atlantic records of “blackballing “him and not being supportive.
NBA Youngboy wrote, “I was going #1 two weeks straight with a mixtape so they took it down off the charts. I don’t give a f**k you still can’t stop me don’t sign to Atlantic if you a artist they not gone support you especially if you live a certain way.”
In response, his fans created a petition, asking for Atlantic Records to give him the Masters to his songs.
Between his statement and commentary in these social media streets, it now appears that his project is back on the Apple Music platform.
NBA Youngboy has spoken about his relationship with his label before. While chatting with DJ Akademiks back in 2021, he stated, “They ain’t gonna come back to me, because I ain’t trying to hear sh*t they got to say.”
Most recently, NBA Youngboy alleged that Yaya Mayweather wouldn’t let him see their son. In a track played by his producer on Instagram. According to the track reportedly titled, “Carry On,” YB says, “She don’t want KJ to come, but then, she tries to FaceTime him with me but I don’t wanna talk at all.” The lyrics continue to say, “I don’t give a f**k. B***h, go tell the critics.”
As you know, NBA Youngboy also had issues with another woman, Arcola, with whom he shares a child with.
Arcola alleged that NBA Youngboy kicked their child out of an Airbnb, after requesting to see him.
Arcola posted to Instagram and shared a message allegedly written by YoungBoy. In the message, it stated, “Ion know what type of internet games you playing but I don’t owe you s**t I ain’t even want no baby with you. I told you not but I accepted responsibility. y’all ho*s play baby games then try to come for some s*t I earned and risked my life for cause y’all ain’t woman enough or capable to get on y’all sh*t.”
