ESPN and the NBA have announced their roster and coach lineup for the 2024 Ruffles® NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Additionally, the NBA has also unveiled its list of performers for the NBA All-Star 2024 weekend.
According to an exclusive press release, this year’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will occur on Friday, February 16, at 7 p.m. EST. Additionally, the game will be played at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth will host the broadcast and present the MVP trophy while conducting special interviews with players, coaches, and other attendees. ESPN broadcaster Ryan Ruocco will provide play-by-play commentary featuring takes from analysts Richard Jefferson and Monica McNutt.
Sports analyst Pat McAfee will also make a special appearance.
According to the release, ESPN NBA Analyst and star of ‘First Take’ Stephen A. Smith will coach against his co-host and Pro Football Hall of Fame Shannon Sharpe.
In addition, WNBA champion. A’ja Wilson and Grammy award-winning rapper Lil Wayne will also serve as coaches for Stephen A. Smith’s team. Meanwhile, Shannon Sharpe will be assisted by fellow Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and Grammy award-winning rapper 50 Cent.
Stephen A. Smith’s roster will include the likes of NBA champion Metta World Peace, the youngest female EGOT winner, Jennifer Hudson, the James Beard award-winning chef Kwame Onwuachi, and more.
Shannon Sharpe’s roster will include streamer Kai Cenat, Grammy award-nominated singer SiR, NFL superstar Micah Parsons, and more.

Furthermore, the press release notes that this year’s game will feature an “all-new, innovative LED court.” The court will utilize an “endless amount of animation capabilities,” including court graphics, a dynamic three-point line, and more.
This year’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will also debut the Ruffles® Flamin’ Hot Challenge shooting contest, in addition to the Ruffles® 4-Point Ridgeline and Ruffles® Crunch Time competitions.
In addition to the celebs flexing their basketball skills, fans can expect to see their faves perform off the court between February 16 and February 18.
On Friday, February 16, Grammy award-winning artist T-Pain will kick things off at the NBA Crossover Concert Series. On Saturday, February 17, Coco Jones will perform the U.S. national anthem and Black national anthem hours before the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
According to the release, Lil Wayne will perform at the NBA Crossover Concert Series on Sunday, February 18. Then, the 2024 All-Star Game will kick off at 8 p.m. EST and air via the TNT network.
Indianapolis native and Grammy award-winning singer Babyface will sing the U.S. national anthem ahead of the tip-off. Meanwhile, Jennifer Hudson will perform at the event’s halftime.
