Over the weekend, a woman pretending to be a fan put Moneybagg Yo in an awkward situation by serving him with legal papers.
The incident occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday afternoon at an autograph signing event held at a liquor store supporting his new brand, Del Dia Tequila.

Moneybagg Yo interacts with people in the now-viral video clip before one person, pretending to be a fan, steps forward to get their bottle signed.
“Thank you,” the unidentified woman said as she handed him the block of paperwork. “You’ve been served.” However, judging by the look on his face, Moneybagg Yo initially reacted with confusion, trying to comprehend the sudden turn of events.
The Memphis native stared in disbelief and responded only with, “Huh?” before the woman explained that she had served him. “Have a good one,” she said as she walked away.
The Shade Room exclusively obtained court documents that show Affiliate Nation is suing the rapper for a breach of contract. The paperwork alleges that Moneybagg Yo received a deposit from the company to perform at the 1st Annual Summer Fest in Baton Rouge two years ago.
They agreed that he would receive the rest of the money after his performance. But, things took a wrong turn when Moneybagg Yo allegedly abandoned the event to sign with a different promoter for a separate event.
He claimed his scheduling issues wouldn’t allow him to make the show in Baton Rouge. Despite promising to reschedule the show, he never brought those plans to fruition, with Affiliate Nation demanding that Moneybagg Yo pay reasonable damages, refund their deposit, and cover all attorney’s fees.
Once the video surfaced on social media, Moneybagg Yo quickly started trending as fans began sharing their reactions to the awkward encounter.
However, being the good sport that he is, Moneybagg Yo later hopped on Twitter to seemingly respond to the viral clip by tweeting laughing emojis followed with the message, “Small thing to a Giant.”
Following the signing blunder, the rapper remained in good spirits and didn’t let the incident ruin his night as he attended the basketball game between the LA Lakers and Indiana Pacers.
Following the team’s win, Moneybagg Yo hung out in the locker room with Lebron James and Rich Paul as they celebrated the team’s win by listening to his music.
The viral video somewhat overshadowed the 34-year-old’s good deed that same day when he donated $1,000 in gifts to kids of Memphis-Shelby County Schools.
The generous offering came as he pledged stronger efforts to support children’s literacy in the community, with recent studies claiming that over 75% of third graders struggle to read at grade level.
“I want the best for the kids coming up in my hometown,” the father of eight said, as quoted by Action News 5. “It doesn’t matter what you’re trying to do or where you want to be – you’re going to have to be able to read to accomplish your goals. I want our youth to understand that.
“I’m willing to do whatever I can to help Mayor Lee Harris and Memphis-Shelby County Schools turn the stats around and get more of our children reading on grade level. The problem is too huge to ignore.”
