Moneybagg Yo Drops The Teaser For The ‘Wockesha’ Music Video

Yasss! One of the hottest songs of the summer is finally getting a visual to go along with it! Moneybagg Yo released the bop ‘Wockesha’ off his fourth studio album ‘A Gangsta’s Pain’ in April and the streets went crazy! ‘Wockesha’ has been all over social media as Moneybagg’s fans use the song for Tik Tok videos and Reels on Instagram. It’s even made its way to the  BET Awards. This past Sunday Moneybagg had his first performance at the awards show. He rapped a snippet of the song before performing his RIAA Platinum hit ‘Time Today.’ Yesterday he dropped a teaser of the music video which had a familiar face in it.

Lil Wayne, featured at the beginning of the song doing his “What’s in my cup” monologue, was the first face shown in the 30-second teaser. Wayne shared the video on the ‘gram, and his fans immediately went crazy, but it was Moneybagg’s caption when he shared the teaser that stood out. Moneybagg made a bold claim about the video. He wrote, “F**k Around And Get A Moon Man @VMAS Award For This Video. I Stamp that!! “Wockesha” Video Tomorrow!! Starring @liltunechi.”

The MTV Video Music Award for ‘Video of the year’ is a highly sought out award for artists. Past winners include; Kendrick Lamar, Camila Cabello, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Beyoncé. So far MoneyBagg hasn’t been nominated for any VMAs just yet so it would be interesting to see if he gets nomiated for the visual for the record. We’ll be keeping an eye out to see if he receives a nomination this year!

Roommates, do you think ‘Wockesha’ has what it takes to receive the music video of the year award?
