Roomies, we’ve been keeping you updated on the tragic incident of George Floyd. Monday he was arrested and passed away, after an officer put his knee on his neck. On Tuesday, the officers involved in the arrest were fired. On Wednesday, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey asked for the acting officer to receive a criminal charge for the tragic death of George Floyd
In a press conference, the Frey stated, “I’m calling on Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman to act on the evidence before him,” he stated. “I’m calling on him to charge the arresting officer in this case.”
On Tuesday, Frey tweeted that the four officers had been fired and “this is the right call.”
In an interview with Don Lemon, Floyd’s family stated, “They could’ve maced him. Instead they put they knee into his neck and just sat on him,” his brother stated. “They took a life now they deserve life,” added his brother.
As we previously reported, Donald Trump is calling for an “expedited” investigation and stated, “Justice will be served!” Also, riots erupted all over the city of Minneapolis. Stores have been burned down and looters also took over Target in response to this tragic incident.
