Millie Bobby Brown, 19, is getting candid as she reflects on what the future holds for her acting career and personal plans. As The Shade Room previously reported, Brown stars as Eleven on Netflix’s hit series, ‘Stranger Things.’
Additionally, the actor revealed her engagement to Jake Bongiovi in April.
The 19-year-old sat down for an exclusive interview with Women’s Wear Daily, published earlier this week. During the conversation, Brown expressed that she’s “ready” for the series to come to an end.
“I think I’m ready. It’s been such a huge factor in part of my life, but it’s like graduating high school, it’s like senior year,” Brown told the outlet. “You’re ready to go and blossom and flourish and you’re grateful for the time you’ve had, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life.”
According to PEOPLE, Brown began filming the series at the age of 12. In May, the outlet reported that production on the fifth and final season of the show was postponed due to the “ongoing” Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
WWD adds that the interview with Brown was conducted before the SAG-AFTRA strike, which particularly affects actors, began in July.
As Brown prepares to wed her fiancé, Jake Bongiovi, she seemingly explained why she keeps matters regarding their relationship private. The 19-year-old seemed to allude to a similar-style wedding.
“I think probably drawing the curtains, just because there are only so many moments in life that you get only once,” she explained to the outlet. “And to have everyone’s opinions and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me.”
Furthermore, Brown also shared her excitement for the present moment.
“So I feel it’s important to keep those things, those small precious moments in life, really close to your chest,” she said. “I can say that the planning is going — it’s so fun and it’s such an exciting time in my life.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, the 19-year-old revealed her engagement to 20-year-old Jake Bongiovi in April. Bongiovi is the son of singer-songwriter Jon Bon Jovi.
Due to Brown’s age, many social media users were left stunned and expressed their reactions.
