During a recently-released episode of ‘Nightcap,’ Shannon Sharpe spoke about firing shots at someone he didn’t explicitly name.
“And Imma fire this shot over your head mofo’, and you ‘gon know exactly who I’m talking about,” Sharpe told his co-host, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. “Mention my name again, and Imma put the DMs – and I don’t like doing this, but you’re lying. See, I don’t care about all that other stuff — you can say I’m gay… I don’t care about that. I won’t chase a lie, but I won’t let you lie on my name.”
Sharpe went on to explain that he’s heard criticism about himself a thousand times over. However, he made it clear that if that person says his name again, he’ll leak their private messages with no hesitation.
“You’re lying — you said I reached out to you to come on ‘Club Shay Shay,’ and you a mofo liar,” he continued. “Now, when I see you, ’cause I’m gonna see you, I’m gonna see if you about that. I wanna see if you ‘gon say what you been saying… You got mad ’cause Katt Williams did what he did. Now, when I see you, I’m gonna see if you really bout that.”
The podcast host appeared to be reacting to comments made by Mike Epps during his recent comedy show. The footage shared via X, formerly known as Twitter, has since gone viral and features Epps alleging that Sharpe called him “trying to do an interview.”
In the clip, the comedian seemed to allege that Sharpe is gay while comparing him to Tyler Epp’s popular female character, Madea.

Here’s How Mike Epps Responded
On Monday, February 12, Epps took to Instagram to share a video responding to Sharpe’s comments. In the clip, he explained that “so many people talk crazy” about Sharpe.
“They was on ‘Saturday Night Live’ talking about you — imitating you, but now you wanna fight me?” he said.
Epps admitted that he did message Sharpe asking to get on ‘Club Shay Shay.’ However, he only messaged Sharpe because the podcaster mentioned him while speaking with Katt Williams.
“You was tryna get him to talk crazy about me, but he didn’t, okay,” he continued. “Now, second of all, talking about pullin’ up on me — You gon be at the All-Star [game], I’m gon be at at the All-Star… and Imma see you, aight?”
Before concluding his statements, Epps appeared to take his threats toward Sharpe up a notch.
“And Imma just let you know, I don’t be doing no fighting lately,” he said. “So, you know it’s only one other option.”

The Comedian Previously Commented On Sharpe’s Viral Sit Down With Katt Williams
As The Shade Room previously reported, Mike Epps comments on Katt Williams’ now-viral interview with Sharpe in January. At the time, Epps jokingly clowned Williams for allegedly wearing a fake Fendi jacket, although Williams did not.
At the time, Epps admitted to being “jealous” regarding Williams’ viral appearance.
“Alright, I did get a little jealous, man,” he explained in a video clip shared to his Instagram Story. “Katt broke the internet and didn’t say my name — good or bad. I need the press, too…”
