Oop looks like Miguel is throwing shade at a few singers!
In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, the singer was asked about Frank Ocean and The Weeknd in which he replied, “To be completely honest—and no disrespect to anyone—I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around,” Miguel says in the interview.
He then goes on to post a message on social media saying
Not sure if he meant it as damage control or he was just trying to soften up the blow. He never really said directly who is was coming for but he did say him and Frank Ocean are “cordial”.
And being on the topic of Frank Ocean, the singer also said:
“But that’s Frank. Frank is the tortured. That’s his thing. That’s not who I am. I may not be dark—as dark—and I may not be as poetic, but I’m living my real shit.”
And how could we forget that crazy leg drop Miguel did on the neck of a fan durunv his 2013 Billboard Music Awards performance:
“It just reminds me that I’m not afraid to fail,” he says of the BMA incident. “You just have to take the leap of faith. Yeah, they’re gonna call you crazy. But nothing was ever achieved without being a little delusional.”
Frank Ocean is set to release an album later on this year too. Do you think it will do better than WildHeart? Let’s chat below !
