The premiere of Michel’le’s biopic, “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le” is literally days away. However, the battle between Dr. Dre and Michel’le is just getting started.
Earlier this week, news broke that Dr. Dre filed a cease and desist against Sony, letting them know that if he is portrayed as a woman beater in the film, he will sue. He also made it clear that he’s ready to sue Michel’le as well.
Recently Michel’le sat down with TMZ Live, and she is definitely unbothered by his legal threats.
She said, “What is he saying? Is he saying that he just didn’t abuse me at all? Because I’m insulted if that’s what he’s saying.”
When it was confirmed that he was denying ever abusing her she responded, “Well that’s news to me. I allowed him to portray himself in his story the way he wanted to portray himself. And he allowed me to portray myself in my story, and I think my truth will stand when we get to court, if we do.”
She also made it clear that she and the producers of the film had no intention of editing the abusive scenes out of the film once he threatened to sue.
However, she admitted to being confused to how he apologized publicly to the women he hurt in the past, after the allegations began to arise following the release of “Straight Outta Compton.”
Things are definitely about to get messy.
