Michael Strahan Says Closing His Gap Was An April Fool’s Joke (Video)

Earlier this week, Michael Strahan took to Instagram with a different smile. The “Good Morning America” host showed off what many thought to be a gap closure. But it seems it was all a joke.

On Thursday, Strahan took to his Instagram account and explained that he didn’t close his gap and it was here to stay.

He stated, “I appreciate all the love for the gap, and I’ve had it for you know, almost 50 years.” He also encouraged people to do what’s best for them.

After removing his mask and a big smile, Strahan then went on to say, “I just wanted to say, April Fool’s!”

In response, one person wrote, “That’s a good AF prank cuz nowadays u can’t be playin bout pregnancy and danger.”

Another person stated, “That man loves his gap. Leave him alone.”

As previously reported, Strahan contracted COVID-19 earlier this year. “Sources connected to the “Good Morning America” host and NFL Hall of Famer tell us he is currently quarantining … which is why he’s been absent from ‘GMA’ all week,” TMZ reports.

Good to see he’s doing well and still rocking his gap!
