As Lori Harvey cozies up to Damson Idris, Michael B. Jordan is jokingly speaking about his split from the 26-year-old.
He acknowledged the split during his Saturday Night Live monologue by proclaiming that he had recently gone through his “very first public breakup.”
He also went on to share that, while getting into shape is a common goal following a breakup, he was already ripped for his role in Creed III, which he directed.
“Most people after a breakup are like, ‘I’m going to get in better shape.’ But I was already in Creed shape!”
As a result of him already being in tip-top physical condition, Michael noted that he had to focus on other pursuits, like language-learning. He also showed off his Spanish-speaking skills when sharing the he’s joined a membership-based app called Raya to network.
“So I had to be like, ‘All right, I guess I’ll learn a new language.’ Anyway, estoy en Raya.”
After announcing that he’s looking for connections on Raya, Michael proceeded to speak on a photo of him that went viral following the news. Specifically, he was spotted looking down in the dumps while at an NBA game, and many believed his demeanor was over the breakup.
“After the breakup, everyone thought I was so heartbroken because, when the news came out, I was at a basketball game, and they caught me looking [upset].”
However, he explained the matter away by sharing, “Look, I was just chillin. but the internet decided that was me being sad.”
He also humorously noted that, when it comes to sad Michael Jordan memes, the memorable photo of the basketball star crying is much more likely to come up.
Finally, we should add that this was followed by a bit that included numerous SNL stars fawning over Michael B. Jordan, suggesting that the actor can certainly still get it!
While on the subject of Michael and Lori’s breakup, Steve Harvey noted that the 26-year-old is in “a great place in her life” following the split, as The Shade Room previously reported.
“She’s done a really good job of figuring it out and getting it right. And I think she’s at a great place in her life right now—I think she’s content with Lori and I think that’s a great place for her to start from.”
He added that Lori’s “growing up as a public figure” and is figuring out how to navigate her life in the limelight.
Shoutout to both Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey as they continue to go their own ways.
