From ‘Fruitvale Station’ To ‘Creed’ & ‘Black Panther’–Michael B. Jordan And Ryan Coogler Are Back At It Again For A New Project Titled ‘Wrong Answer’

Michael B. Jordan and director Ryan Coogler will reunite once again for yet another project. The two have already worked together on “Fruitvale Station,” “Creed,” and the upcoming film “Black Panther.”

Now they will tell the story based on the standardized test cheating scandal at Atlanta Public Schools through the lens of one middle school.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ta-Nehisi Coates will write the script based on Rachel Aviv’s article “Wrong Answer.”

Michael B. Jordan will portray math teacher Damany Lewis, “who struggles under the pressure imposed on his students and school to meet unrealistic standardized testing scores as part of the No Child Left Behind project. In order to save their jobs and prevent their school from shutting down, he joined in an effort to cheat the scores. The scandal led to 11 teachers being convicted on racketeering charges.”

Ryan Coogler will produce the project along with Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B. New Regency will fully finance the project, with Arnon Milchan also serving as a producer.
