#Roommates, we may only be weeks away from Starz’s hit series “Power” coming to an end after six seasons—but have no fear because there are spin-offs coming that will pull you right back in to all the drama. As we already know, Mary J. Blige is the star of the first planned spin-off and now she’s back together with her long-time friend and musical collaborator Method Man, who has just been added to the cast.
Mary J. Blige and Method Man’s bond goes back decades, as the duo cemented their place in music history with their Grammy-winning collaboration “You’re All I Need.” Taking their chemistry to TV should be pretty easy, as @Deadline reports Method Man has officially joined the cast of “Power Book II: Ghost”—which stars Mary in the lead role. He will play Davis Maclean, an ambitious and savvy attorney who is attracted to the New York City crime underworld run by Mary’s character, but may find himself entrapped by some secrets from his past.
Initially announced last summer, “Power Book II: Ghost” is currently in production in New York with a possible premiere date for later this year. The spin-off will likely feature key cast members from “Power” and is anticipated to follow the events of the show’s final season, which ends February 9th. The finale will answer the question of who shot Ghost and reveal all.
Method Man is no stranger to TV, as he has been acting since the 90s. Some of his television roles include: HBO’s “Oz,” “The Wire” and “The Deuce,” TBS’s “The Last O.G.” and Netflix’s “Luke Cage.”
